January 2012 Schedule Changes

There is no skating from December 24th to January 2, 2012 due to the Christmas holidays.

As stated in our registration package, there are 3 Saturdays in January where the Preston FSC does not have ice time due to Hockey Tournaments being held in the Preston Auditorium. There will be NO SKATING on Saturday January 7, 14, 21, 2012.

This happens every year so we prepare in advance to cover these missed sessions. The Saturday session of skating runs for an hour where our weekday programs only run for 50 minutes. We also offer 3 make up sessions to cover these missed times.

If you have not already signed up for these make up sessions, please email us back with your requested time. Once completed, you will be sent a confirmation with your make-up dates and times.

Skating will resume as usual on Saturday January 28th, 2012.

Make Up sessions are offered on:

Wednesdays January 4,11,18, 2012 from 5:10pm to 6:00pm @ the Preston Auditorium

Thursdays January 5, 12, 19, 2012 from 4:30pm to 5:20pm @ the Karl Homuth Arena

On Tuesday February 1st and Wednesday February 2nd the Preston FSC is planning on running all sessions at the Preston, Karl Homuth and Hespeler Arenas. We will only cancel the sessions if the city closes the facilities.

The Power Skating Class held on Wednesdays from 5:50pm to 6:35pm @ Karl Homuth Arena has been cancelled on February 2nd, 2011. A personal email will be sent to each family regarding make up session.

The 2011 Ice Show will take place on Saturday March 26, 2011 with shows at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, as well as Sunday March 27th at 2:00 pm

Announcing The 2011 Chocolate Fundraiser

We are excited to launch our new fundraising campaign. This campaign will run from Jan 24, 2011 to Mar 18, 2011. Each participating family will receive one carry bag containing 10 chocolate bars. The assortment will either contain nuts or not. Each item is sold for only $2.00. Our club will receive 50% of the profits raised and this money will go towards the 2011 Ice Show.

For each bag of 10, the seller will receive a free student/child and 1/2 off an adult voucher for a Toronto Marlies' game, plus an entry for a prize draw.

We hope that each skater family will support this campaign by buying a minimum of one 10 piece bag for $20.00. Once purchased, you own the chocolate bars and can sell them for $2.00 each or keep them for yourself. For those able to sell more, we have boxes of 30 chocolates available for $60.00.

There will be draw prizes and a prize for the top seller. Prizes will be awarded on March 26, 2011 during the Ice Show intermission.

Chocolate bars will be available for purchase at the arena on each of the skating days.
