Sectional Team Video / Slide Show

This is copy of the slide show put together for the sectional team dinner. The original was handed out on disks to all the sectional skaters. This is a ripped version using a trial verson of a program to convert the slide show to a movie that could be uploaded to youtube (thus the water mark). The music attached is not the same as played at the dinner, had to change it for copyright issues (Youtube would not let it go through as I had the complete song attached).

The skaters were asked to supply a quote or something interesting about themselfs similar to what you find in a school year book. This is the result.

PFSC Fundraisers

Hi Everyone,

Just wanting to let you know about the different fundraisers taking place this November and December.
We will be collecting orders for MacMillans on Saturday, November 28th.

This winter we are also offering the Pampered Chef to our skaters. For those of you who may not have picked up their Pampered Chef catalogues, there is still time to get in on this great fundraiser. Log onto their website at www.pamperedchef.biz/lisahaasdream and click on the "Shop Online" link that is on the lower left corner of the screen. By entering the clubs name as "PFSC" all orders will be added to our final sales. There are lots of great gift items that can be given at Christmas. or treat yourself to some great cookware.
We are also offering Regal this year. If you have not received a catalogue, but would like one, please let us know. We are still accepting order forms. Please note: payment in full (including taxes - 13%) is due when ordering.

The pick up for both MacMillans and Pampered Chef is on Saturday, December 12 from 1-3pm.

For Regal order pick-ups, you will be contacted when your order is in.

Thanks,
PFSC

PFSC Web Update, A work in progress

Well.... it has taken a few years for me to get around to updating the PFSC web site. Good thing the economy is slow, which has made my work slow, which gave me time to work on the site.

If anyone has time to review the site, or when looking for information or just curious, please send your corrections and problems found to pfsc@industrial-revolution.net so I can get them corrected.

There are not any pictures on the site; however we will put some in as time permits. The album and video page has been reorganized and we will continue to update this as we get pictures.

If you have any interesting stories, articles, pictures etc please send them in so we can add them to the Blog for all to enjoy. With George skating at Hespler 4 days a week we are missing news and stories from the skaters at the Preston Auditorium and Karl Homuth Arena.

Regards
Ted Cowan (George's Dad,)

Section Team Dinner Speaker

A special thank you goes out to our sectional team dinner guest speaker Valya Roberts, a sports consultant who talked about the effect of stress, mental imagery and positive thought to become successful in reaching your goals. The following poem was handed out at the dinner to remind us all.

Beliefs

Doubt can stop you in your tracks,
It can drain away desire,
Believing on the other hand,
Can set your world a fire
When you hold an opinion that
You can reach that special dream,
You have the edge needed to make achieving
Much easier that it may seem.
Believing in your ability affects the way you act,
And produces an air of confidence,
Which influences how others will react.
When you believe you can achieve
And believe it with all your soul,
You possess a powerful asset
You most likely will reach your goal

Preston FSC Starts a Blog

The Preston Figure Skating Club, located in Cambridge Ontario is starting a blog. It is uncertain the direction it will take at this point, however the current intent is to post updates and information about the club and skaters.
